This is such a relatable post — I love the little white owl you made, and the owl granny square from Petals to Picots is such a clever way to show off the motif. I have started keeping a simple tap counter open on my phone for row counting, which helps me keep track of rounds on small motifs like this, and it has honestly saved more projects than any fancy notion.
